Inner Wheel was conceived on 10th January 1924 when Rotarians' wives met in Manchester, England where Mrs. Oliver Golding was elected as its first President. Thus 10th January is now World Inner Wheel Day.

98,173 members spread over 103 countries in 168 Districts with 3691 Clubs celebrate around the world the same noble objectives that we all share.

District 95 Inner Wheel Day 2010 celebration was held at a Cairo hotel with over 250 members from Egypt, joined by 26 members from Jordan accompanied by Chairman Nahla Qubain/Sweiss from Amman IW Club.

National Representative Afaf Maged/Ismail presented a speech in which she highlighted International Inner Wheel news and showed a Power Point Presentation about Mrs. Anne Fryer's visit to District 95 Egypt & Jordan.

Chairman Nahla Qubain/Sweiss did a presentation about the achievements of all the clubs in the District and a report about the progress achieved during the first half of the Inner Wheel year.

Friends and new members celebrated the occasion while listening to famous violinist, Gehad Akl who presented a superbly accomplished performance.

Inner Wheel members came from Cairo and its suburbs as well as Alexandria, Damanhour, Tanta, Al Mansoura, Al Mahalla, Tanta, Port-Said, Ismailia, and last but not least Menia in Upper Egypt.

The beautiful arrangements for the celebration were organized by ISO Nora El Zoghby who incorporated the Inner Wheel blue and yellow colors in all the flower arrangements.

IW Day 2010, Celebrations of the Inner Wheel Day were shared by Egyptian and Jordanian members who flew in from Jordan in the company of Chairman Nahla Sweiss from the Amman Club.

District 95 Chairman, Mrs. Suzan Samaha/Neel highlighted a well documented presentation about the numerous achievements and projects of the different clubs in Egypt & Jordan.

District 95 National Representative, Mrs. Jumana Mutawi, conveyed a message from the IIW President to District 95 and talked about the international UNICEF Social project, the IIW representation at the United Nations as well as the achievements of IIW around the world.

Famous Egyptian singer, Hisham Abbas whose wife is a member of a Cairo Inner Wheel Club, sang his most beautiful songs in honor of District 95.
